I won't be able to keep it up 24/7, since it is running on my home computer (unless everybody suddenly donates a heck load of money), and it probably won't be capable of running more than 8-16 people on the server.
I could probably run a test soon to see how many players, my computer can actually handle on a server.

Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.
One can learn a lot from reinventing wheels.
An unsound argument is not the same as an invalid one.

Do not make APIs unnecessarily asynchronous.
