Its actually pretty funny, Naruto only learns one technique (rasengan) in naruto normal, which took up like 10 episodes. The total number of episodes in normal is 220.
In shippuden, He learns the wind element rasen shuriken which takes up like 5 episodes of learning it.
Also when this happens there is a story line continuing and happening simultaneously unlike dbz when he keeps charging and in a split second his hair turns yellow.
It's also funny because so far Naruto Shippuden has only released 305 episodes. I wonder which 300 episodes did Naruto use to learn his new technique
