If u argue like that and everybody would think this way, there wouldnt be any projects left and every project, char or mod, whatever, had to be stopped.

Just do it man, dont stop before u even started, people will get interested when they see progress, trust me.

About sprite
YOu should learn how to shade metal pattern (if its metal)
dont blur so much.
lok for human muscle anatomy if youll try to draw muscles

I kind of agree with EXG9, you should try adding more shine to the metal parts. Other than that to me it looks pretty well done.
