How about making the char look like Harle's representative? Though, that would probably raise the question, how much a revamp can deviate from the original? On the sprite: the gent looks like a farting Karlsson. I suggest, that you try again, because I see, that you've got guts. (Pun intended.)

You might want him to look a little less static. Right now, it's all a bit static; no big movement whaatsoever (<--sorry, I couldn't resist). Try to add some more dynamics, some interesting move. At least, something which looks more special than an..... energy-powered one-leg-jump

Looks good, but little fail at the breath moving. His arms move, his jacket moves, but instead of his body he is moving his neck? Does he have hiccup (hope it's right word D: )?
