first sprite

For your first sprite, this is really good !
Nice shading overall, the only thing which could be improved is the shading of his boots and the nose+mouth part (nose normally 1px, mouth 2px & no shading in between)

not bad for your start! I like most of the shading.
things i would improve:

- the waist looks a bit thin
- he has no neck [not sure if that was too important, correct me if i'm wrong.
- you can't really tell whether he has gloves on, or he has a green hand
- the shoes need a bit more darker shading in my opinion.
- get rid of the plant and try to make some fresh hair

I love the design <3. But:
- head looks kinda unnatural shaped.
- too thin in hips
- black borderline
- pale shading

What program have u used? If u're still using paint try Gimp/Photofiltre/Photoshop to improve your sprites.
