Some members here certainly are very random. *looks at Lauli*. I don't know if they could actually be too random though.

No.

Hello? Anyone?
I'm sorry, I somehow missed your post. I was kind of busy the last couple weeks (studies - lab work)

I liked english, somehow.

No.
Quote:If u had 1 milion Euro, how would you manage them, or you have them already ?
Unfortunately, no. I guess I'd keep a part of it to always be on the safe side, give another part of it away and use at least a little part of it to make something utterly crazy. I don't know what yet, but I'll figure it out in time. (You can give me one million if you want to see it :P)
Oh, and a (smaller) part for a celebration party.
Quote:You think then act, or you act then think?
The former. In fact, I am probably one of the least spontaneous people there are.
Quote:You have a large friend zone and you are always at the center of the party, or you have some just some friends and you are careful with other?
The later.

Look as in only a glance, no talking to or anything else? Assuming you mean from a close distance (as some features wouldn't be recognizable otherwise): Smile first (if existent and yes I mean it), then hair, then eyes and standard superficial features(breasts and bottom) and then everything else.
Quote:What was your dream job when you were little?
Paleontologist. I really loved dinosaurs back then (who didn't?). They were the closest thing to dragons that was actually real :P
Quote:Do you have a man crush on somebody?
No.
Quote:Do you dream a lot?
As in during the night? Every person dreams roughly the same length of time (REM sleep is roughly 3 hours per night, a little less when you become older), it's just that most people remember few of their dreams.
I used to never ever remember any of my dreams, which I found kind of sad. I actually thought I wouldn't dream. I started training my recall (writing down my dreams etc.) and am now at roughly 2-3 dreams per night remembered. I also use some other techniques to have lucid dreams (dreams in which you are aware that you are dreaming) more often.

I think I liked him there because he was pretty much the only character who could look at the events from the outside (even though he not necessarily chose to do so). I like how he as the personification of death is a somewhat universal concept. I like the varied stories and myths told about him and how he may be seen as evil or as a mere psychopomb. I don't necessarily like the dark atmosphere around it, but I don't mind either.
Also, sythes are pretty cool. I think scythes are neat do you think scythes are neat?
Somehow that explanation doesn't quite cut it. I might think of something more detailed :P

Why is being random a characteristic worth mentioning so particularly?
Will we get to see your juggling video?
Every time the topic "you not being spontaneous" in any form comes up, do you phrase your answers so that they don't sound negative?
Do you consider your analytical behavior unfavorable in some situations?
What was the last drawing you put (even just the least amount of) effort into?
And was it really necessary to smartass around on the dream answer? :P

You don't give up, do you? *sigh* I haven't even juggled the last weeks. up to 17h workdays got the better of me.
Also I figured by now I'd be happier with how my juggling looks. Not really the case, though.
Quote:Every time the topic "you not being spontaneous" in any form comes up, do you phrase your answers so that they don't sound negative?
No, not that I'm aware of. Does it sound like it?
Quote:Do you consider your analytical behavior unfavorable in some situations?
Analytical? Not so much. The other stuff that accompanies it? Yes.
Quote:What was the last drawing you put (even just the least amount of) effort into?
One of the drawings on my lecture notes, supposed to depict a womans head with hair turning into a waterfall dispersing in darkness with lanterns in it and stuff.
And no, I'm not going to post a picture of it, because I'm not really happy with how it turned out (I seldomly am when my drawings are concerned (though that's not exclusive to drawings). Gotta draw more often :P).
Quote:And was it really necessary to smartass around on the dream answer? :P
Yes. Because
- I like talking about dreams and everything that has to do with those.
- As I had misconceptions about dreaming for quite a while, I'd like to make sure others don't.

I used to feel depressed sometimes myself, but that made me feel more depressed so it was either staying like that or thinking positively and, if possible, changing whatever made me feel like that. And trust me, the latter is by far the better option.

Sure, more than once. I'd wager that happens to pretty much everyone.

3 March 2012, a different forum.
Anyway... Going on-topic before I get warned or banned for going off-topic...
- If you had your own forums, what would it be called?
- Do you have any pets? (ignore if this already has been asked)
- What's your favourite day in October?
- How many famous South African people do you know of? (i.e. mentioned in news or something)

3 March 2012, a different forum. Really? Well, I doubt that is going to happen here.

This is forum games, the wilderness :P
Quote:- If you had your own forums, what would it be called?
Haha, I have no idea. Depends on what kind of forum I'd make, probably. But for most things where I'd like to have a forum there already is a nice one, so I don't see why I should make one myself.
Quote:- Do you have any pets? (ignore if this already has been asked)
A dog, cairn terrier. Or rather, it's the dog of my family. So as I'm not there all too often one could argue whether that still counts.
Quote:- What's your favourite day in October?
I'm not sure I have one. Believe it or not, I'm not that much of a halloween fan. (No going around town with a black robe and scythe :P) 3rd October is holiday in germany, so that is nice.
Quote:- How many famous South African people do you know of? (i.e. mentioned in news or something)
Nelson Mandela. Also Desmond Tutu and Hugh Masekela, but for those two I had to check back to make sure they really are from South Africa.

you said you remember 2-3 dreams per night. Then how many dreams do u watch?
I think the easiest and the most practical way to remember any dream is to retell to yourself of sb else since when you wake up. the you remind it later and then you can remember it for some more time.
you said you had a misconception of dreams, what was it?
you said that you have lucid dreams too. In what level have you gone? Have you ever meet any dead person? What technique do you follow to do them. Have you learn about techniques by yourself or by reading somewhere? if somewhere, where?

Great answer.
" (You can give me one million if you want to see it )"
No i will not give you 1 million, only 200.000 because you didnt mentioned doing any really good thing with them. Now show me your bank account to give you 200.000, i hope you will use only for any good things.

What I usually do is lay in my bed for a short time after waking up with my eyes closed, trying to go through the dream again (is that what you mean perhaps?). Then I write down everything I remember about it.
The nice thing about writing your dreams down is that you can read them again after a long while and that often is enough of a cue to make the memory come back.
Quote:you said you had a misconception of dreams, what was it?
Ah, that was just supposed to be a reference to the ''not remembering your dreams' - 'not dreaming' distinction.
Quote:you said that you have lucid dreams too. In what level have you gone? Have you ever meet any dead person? What technique do you follow to do them. Have you learn about techniques by yourself or by reading somewhere? if somewhere, where?
What do you mean by level? You mean layers like in inception? I don't think that has any meaning in dreams whatsoever, but the answer'd be 2nd layer.
No, I didn't meet any dead persons. I haven't been practicing for long and my lucids are still quite rare and short. My non-lucids have become more vivid and interesting, though, so that is also nice.
I'm using all kinds of different techniques. I started off with MILD (mnemotic induced lucid dream, basically repeating a phrase like 'I will realize I'm dreaming' while falling asleep), then started to do RC's(reality checks, like looking at your hands or breathing through a pinched nose) and practice ADA (basically, being more aware throughout the day). From time to time I'm trying various types of WILD's too (Wake induced LD, waking up during the night and trying to not lose consciousness while falling asleep) but so far to no avail.
I've learned about most of it on various forums on the internet. I first read about the concept in a magazine, but they didn't really give any tips how to achieve lucid dreams and so I forgot about it again. Then someday a friend of mine mentioned it, I remembered reading about it and decided to get some more information on the matter and see if I could do it myself.
Do you have lucid dreams yourself?
