[solved] Walking up stairs?

is it posible to a backround on wich i can go up and down? something like in Super Mario (jumping from one platform to other)

Don't try it...

It's up to now an expert piece of DC to only make ONE additional level...

Making stairs would need MULTIPLE platform levels, so it should be kinda ueber-difficult to make something like that.

well for this two pltaforms thinks ( i rly like it ^^) i can only clap for them
and this thing with the stairs (its rly easy) but you need something were the stairst should end

oaky for the stairs

make some object ( donno if we can add an object into bg part haven´t cpded bg in a while)into the bg you want
that catches the char in front of the first step and then you let him just go up ( amek the sprites fit or it looks like you get punched up the stairs^^) well i tried it many times to edit an object and up for now i can make my char stand on an box^^

In stage.
If you make a "ground" object that contains the stairs & all in one sprite, you could make the illusion of walking upstairs by using itr/kind: 14.

No it dosen't work. If u wanna to have stage walk.

1ST LF2 screen should be higher

2ND Lauli's method won't work so don't try it :D

3RD U can use the itr kind: 8. I think u can use the kind: 8 on the walking and running etc etc frames. Every step must have bdy of a T0 object with corresponding to the coordinates of the kind: 8 in the char. Put DVX: XXX something which have dvy value: 550. U can use the normal state of walking,running in this. Only u need the kind: 8 on every frames. The char will actually climb the stairs.

4TH I actually did this. Yay i'm an expert DCer.

itr/kind: 14 is to block your way if you want to pass it, just to make it more realistic and if he constantly opoint out type: 0 object, it'll be stop for him to interact with it (similar to zxcv running up the wall tech). I suggest opointing a ball which stick to you via to do the type:0-opointing for you since you can't opoint it in running, walking...
