Ok then, here's what it will be:

1 (Warbird). Enemy
2 (Javelin). Deep
3 (Spider). Louis(original)/Louis EX(brighter)
4 (Leviathan). Rudolf
5 (Terrier). Firen (original)/Freeze(blue)/Firzen(yellow)
6 (Weasel). Davis(original)/Dennis(more grayish)
7 (Lancaster). Woody (original), Henry (more reddish/brighter)
8 (Shark). John

Each ship will have different bombs, lasers, etc. For example, davis and dennis could have ion bombs.

erm, a question: how do you want to handle the ship control from DC point?

Cause I would have a good idea but think of using it for an own project (which I'll probably never realise :p)

Well, I'd link the standing- and walking-frames to 210 with next and wait:1, and link 212 to a random frame (say, 250) with next and a nice wait-value. (I'm using Template as a base, so this shouldn't be a problem) Anyway, on frame 250, I'll use wait:1, next:251, dvy:550, and dvz:2. On frame 251, I'll do the same only with a dvz-value of 550. Also, I'll constantly opoint 2 objects in the back for ship exhaust. (yep, they still use rocket engines)
And I'll do everything else from there.

erm, I've a suggestion: why don't you make your ships "disabled" so no jumping and no dashing, then you can enlarge the z-axis of the backgrounds and the control only works with ^>v

Well, you can't really jump or dash because I'm already making it jump automatically and I'm not letting it come down unless it's been hit.
