Idea of char

[Guigs]

I was just doing nothing when had the idea of creating this, checkout:


Drew on the paper and coloured in PS.

This char has kind of a history.
He has been blind since he was a kid, but he learned to live with this problem and had turned into a awesome fighter, but he had lose several fights because of his blindness, so he sold his soul to the devil to "use" his eyes, and this guy would be able to see again.

He would have like 2 powerful attacks, wich are: Demon Possession, wich this Red Tattoo on his chest would appear and this green aura too, he would become stronger.

and Soul Extermination, wich the bandana on his eyes would torn and he's eyes would appear and suck everything close to him and take frames of the opponents soul (taking HP).


Well... I think it's a lot for my first drawing, isn't it?

Back to topic, I must say, your character idea sounds really great, and it might be even realizable to create such attacks (I have already something in mind that could work). The face image looks quite cool, too, a little strange perspective for a regular LF2-face, but the image looks good! PM me when you're starting to create a character from this, I'll be glad to move it to the projects section

Well, doing this char is a little bit advanced for me, I just started DCing and Spriting, it's like a project that I'm not going to forget, because I liked the ideia of it. Lemme just get a little knowlegde on this areas and I should start trying to make it, therefore I'm going to make draws of him doing some attacks that I'm preparing for him.

Ah, forgot to mention that: His name is Guigs (creative, nah? ) & he would be like a Soul Stealer (Plasma), his attacks would be inttended to damage the soul, instead of the body of the oppenent's.

Hmm, I think I got what you mean, would be great so see some sort of attack like that in-game

This looks great, man. It's changed so much, that you can barely see the copypasta, great work. The only thing that I'd check now is the borders, since they might appear black in-game

as you can see there's the demon eyes, who make him be able to see, and at his is the plasma that i was talking about

Well, just for example: imagine you have a really fuzzy brush in Photoshop (this first 300px-circle-thingy is a fuzzy brush in case you don't know what I'm talking about). With this brush, draw a white circle on a black image. Now, when you implement this as a sprite into LF2, you'll see this white dot with a bad-looking dark border around it. Basically, only the color #000000 is displayed transparent in LF2. As soon as you have a color like #000001, you'll have a really dark color but it won't be displayed transparent. Since I see some darker colors in your sprite, I'd check how it'll look like in-game, the result may vary from what you've been expecting

Aah, now i got, yeh, i really used some dark green around the plasma, and know that you said it would like a ton of dark dots around it, like a noise.

I think i should train more, before starting this really, cause it toke me almost a hour to do this stance position, and it was C&P
Imagine doing he freezed or burning
or even doing some complicateds technics

EDIT: Just tested what you have said on PS, and it looked CRAPPY!
