Buying PC
#51
Most CPUs and Mobos come in 64-bit architecture nowadays, you can't change it. x86 (32bit) PCs cannot handle more than 4GB of RAM, so I strongly recommend atleast 4GB of RAM.

ok 32 bit intel...confirmed
And next..please

And Gta 5.Here is the game details..
Minimum specifications
OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit,
Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, Windows Vista
64 Bit Service Pack 2* (*NVIDIA video card
recommended if running Vista OS)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @
2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-
Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
Memory: 4GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB / AMD HD
4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible

64-bit is more preferable for gaming, 32-bit is for old games and it doesn't support RAM higher than 4 GB. (I don't know if I am right, I'm like 70% sure)

True that. Last time I was x86, I could run Mass Effect 3 (2012). Nothing beyond that.

To my knowledge 32-bit systems are not a problem because they are 32-bit. Like Ariyan said a lot of games are simply a 32-bit executable anyway and it really does not matter that much. That said I would still recommend getting a 64-bit CPU and operating system because any good modern CPU is going to be 64-bit anyway.

I'd also like to clarify something else: x64 is BAD! it is a contraction of x86_64, which is what people should use as it is still based on x86 architecture. Here is a list for the confused:
  • x86: The most common CPU architecture for PC's. could refer to a 64-bit system.
  • x86_64: A 64-bit variant of the x86 architecture.
  • x64: What people who do not know what they are talking about say when they are talking about 64-bit computers.
  • 32-bit: The CPU works with (up to) 32 bits at a time. Maximal addressing space is 232, so more than 4 gigabytes of RAM is a waste.
  • 64-bit: The CPU works with (up to) 64 bits at a time. Maximal addressing space is 264, so more than 16.8 terabytes of RAM is a waste.*
*: In practice you cannot even fit this much into the motherboard, so you will never reach this much to begin with. I have 8 gigabytes of RAM in my machine and I do not face any issues.
Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.
One can learn a lot from reinventing wheels.
An unsound argument is not the same as an invalid one.
volatile in C++ does not mean thread-safe.
Do not make APIs unnecessarily asynchronous.
Make C++ operator > again
Trump is an idiot.
