Here you can learn about the "negative" function of the mp-tag.
With the mp-tag, you can do a lot more then just loose energy and health at the beginning of the attack. You can also gain by using a negative number.
If you look at Firen's Firerun you can see negative mp-numbers which are NOT at the beginning of the move. With this technique your character looses energy continual while doing the move. When using negative mp like Firen does, you must have a hit_d: ### (can't be 999) to tell the character which frame to go to when they run out of mp.
