My suggestion would be study some tutorials on LF2-anatomy. came out a little too thin, so is . On the other hand, looks a bit too fat.

It's good to see you creating sprites from scratch, but I really advise you to keep at least a reference next to your pic, so you can quickly see if the sprite gets disproportioned. Also, it can be a helpful guide in adding shadows ;)

I forgot to say you...there is lot of dirty pixel around char :)
In future earse it!!!

RE: Bla bla's sprites - The Hari - 05-04-2012

Well, I think that the best way to leraning about LF2 proportions is drawing on original characters. This mean on new layer draw just outline and on another layer you draw proper sprite. Most of tutorials show that way. Drawing from scratch isn't good idea for beginning. Wait! I teaching you, although I also must learn this! So... better I'll go reading something about anatomy ;) Good luck.

Here's a new sprite: ( I revamped Boomer from Redakai: Conquer the Kairu )
It's wrong proported so i didn't even bother to resize it. I want to know is it shaded good?

RE: Bla bla's sprites - drako - 05-05-2012

There are some dirty pixels around your sprite. Shading is nice. You need to improve to make it good. Just try to curve your shading, don't make your shading straight. This makes your shading look better. :) It's good that you're practising. Keep up the good work. :)

Shade the inner clothes too.
I recommend you look and observe the sprites and shading of LF2. Plus, look at some tut like PF's "how to detailed your sprite". ;)
Good luck.

RE: Bla bla's sprites - Marko pro - 05-05-2012

Yours sprites looks like you wanna do them in record time. You need time to do good sprites, after speed will come with experiens...erase dirty pixels...when you doing your own hand or somethings else look at length of hands...(yours right hand is shorter and thicker but need to be little bigger!!!)
...In last few sprites belt?(stomach) is to much down!!...
Somethings good...
Face its solid, good, pretty good for you...(the best face of you till now)
Shade its good but legs look weird.I dont know why! :(
...
There is lot of more things...just remember sprite it slowly (DONT HURRY)

RE: Bla bla's sprites - Jahvansi - 05-05-2012

Uhm face is good? srsly there is a lot to improve...
He got no ear, hair looks like pommes frites to me :/
Furthermore the face expression is good right now but pleaaase, since when are nose and mouth drawn with black colour?

Hm sounds pretty negative now but still hope it helps..

RE: Bla bla's sprites - The Hari - 05-05-2012

I agree with Marko that you shouldn't hurry with making sprites, but I didn't notice this part about face. This true, it looks awfully (sorry), this nose remind me some Micky Mouse. Nose and mouth should be in darker color of skin. Another affair is proportions (jeez... How can I instruct someone about this :P), but yea, even I see that corps is too long and legs and arms are too short.
