RE: Girls sprites? - Prince - 08-12-2009 I really like Darl's sprite. I wanted to improve. Here's my try. RE: Girls sprites? - Eddie - 08-12-2009 Nice sprites, legs a bit thick on the top left - possible more shading on the legs. Odd shading on the lady in the purple dress but other than that well done. I give it an 8/10 for the effort you put in and the result Prince ^^ RE: Girls sprites? - Siegvar - 08-13-2009 (08-12-2009, 04:32 PM)LutiChris Wrote:(08-10-2009, 10:45 PM)Apocalipsis Wrote: Good question... The only female character in LF2 is Jan and I kinda don't like her proportions... I guess I'll go with my style, but it will fit the lf2 standart, I guess. That just made me realise I have no idea what LFO jan looks like. Anyone got a ref image? It doesn't seem to be easy to google it. EDIT: Oh, found it on lfe mainsite... she looks.... odd. RE: Girls sprites? - Apocalipsis - 08-13-2009 I recommend you to don't waste time then, her design sucks imo. That's why I never even tried to sprite her in lf2 style... (And that's why I don't have any interest in spriting her :p ) Lien: The face is kinda messed up in the sprite from behind. I find it especially tricky to get reverse legs right. Some of the other LFO female characters look decent though, I might consider spriting them in lf2 style for fun. RE: Girls sprites? - snorsorbet - 08-13-2009 It looks kinga blurry... I don't know why :S Otherwise it's very good RE: Girls sprites? - Alectric - 08-13-2009 lol, i use Apoc's method (if it can be called that) all the time in fact, here (she doesnt actually have a name) she's the ultra chick from kill bill anyway, i have realised one of my disadvantages as a spriter today. I've realised that the better spriters of the forum seem to know/watch a lot of anime/manga, and are able to recreate that style in there sprites. I dont watch any anime at all, the closest i can get to is pokemon (how embarrassing) so yeah, i dont also play a lot of computer games either (like street fighter) so i dont really get general char ideas, i just sorta have to think of them without the aid of previous anime/figters RE: Girls sprites? - snorsorbet - 08-13-2009 Lol, nice one Alectric My only complain is the hair. I don't know what's wrong with it, maybe it's not long enough? And at your char ideas: I don't understand what you find wrong in not getting your inspiration from anime / manga? RE: Girls sprites? - Alectric - 08-13-2009 no, i dont find it bad, what i was complaining about is that i slightly regret not playing streetfighter and watching more anime. thanks btw RE: Girls sprites? - Ragor - 08-13-2009 (08-13-2009, 07:37 AM)Alectric Wrote: lol, i use Apoc's method (if it can be called that) all the time Just call her "Uma Therman" That's her real name... On-topic: I have a Jan Template! She IS a girl! (cuz she's Jan) |
