@hm: Edge uses...knives and shurikens.
@thread: imo he should have his knives out normally, and then pull out shurikens in specials. BUt i guess you used the below image as a reference:

and i didnt know that he uses knives 2, but i think i wont give him knives @all
i think i will sprite him in an other dress 2, in a violet dress. he has a helmet on his head there, but - u will see yourself

now you're spriting Kain?
Ah, well, your choice. Have you even played Final Fantasy IV? (or II in America i think.) Cuz the two chars you have sprited is NOT the same.
Now, for that Kain sprite. It's good. Try to make the back of his helm a bit more helm-like. Now it's just sort of black.
The stomach part seems kinda unreal, try to blur and shade it.
Oh, and in case you haven't played FF4, PM me and i'll send you a list of his skills.

it looks good but the hat or hood above the head i don't know what is that thing but it covers the face too much.

well, what i meant is that it seems like the back of his helm is a non-reflective black...but maybe that's just me.
Oh, and about details and shading, you can always cut down on the details.
