I am defenitively what you would call an 'artist': I only make single sprites, and I don't do it very often. And every single sprite takes like 4h xD
I once tried to make a character but I never finnished it... What I managed to finnish was:
Standing
Punching
Walking

So yeah, I'm an 'artist'.

I look up to Siegvar / HC who can churn out many high-quality sprites very quickly. (Or, at least, that's the impression I get.)

You would say like Albaka did, even if this week was very good for me at spriting.

Hardly.
I used to take easily half a year to complete a single character's sheet.
I'm faster now of course, but speed was never my strong suit.

These days I should be able to finish a single character's spritesheet in about a month. But its very draining to do so.

On the topic of fast(&high quality) spriters, I'd think Apoc and Matt fits that description better than I do.

On a random note, I voted "High detail sheets"...
But thinking it over again, I actually lower the detail level when I do my sheets. Too bad I can't edit my vote.

detail isnt the key to spriting, originality is. People wanna see original works with new ideas and new features.

i had to go with detailed sheets because i know some of the quicker techniques, and am working on a small side project that makes my life much easier.

anyways, even though i dont get a lot of time to do lots of sprites, i try for detail
