make him hold the sword to his right(our left) so his sword has somewhere to go

if you post the bmp of your char, instead of jpegs, i will be able to help
otherwise he will just jab at people instead of swinging

The band looks a bit glow, not realistic.
And you should try make it darker
His arms look strange in the second pic
And the sword in the third pic, how can i say, looks weird, you must have noticed that ^^
