The idea with garden tools isn't that bad, but would you run (without weapon) into a horde of zombies to get a machine gun?

Best way not to get infected:
-First get a safe planning position.
-Call all your friends to check whether some of them are survivors, too. Usually, you should try cellphone numbers.
-Gather some supplies, weapons of your choice and roadmaps.
-Find the next bridge on the maps.
(-Wait for your friends to arrive, don't forget to check them on bite wounds)
-Rush outside, hopping into someones car.
-Drive too that bridge.
-Jump from the bridge.
Problem solved, you can't be infected anymore.

ill use my army of giant killer robots to kill all zombies. But that would mean the earth would have a giant killer robot problem, so i would jump of the surface of the earth, travelling till i get to a planet out of reach from the giant killer robots. But i may find space zombies. Thus, repeating the whole process again.
