LF2 Strategy 1.0 - Rashar - 05-03-2012


LF2 Strategy 1.0


This version is mainly meant to be played by 3 or 4 players (using the LF2 Lobby or other programs), Because of it's emphasize on cooperation between players and strategy.


The Characters:

There are only 4 modified characters right now, I still don’t know if I will continue this mod.

All characters remain with their old skills + new ones to the below characters.

Every one of the 4 characters got a Super Skill (I will explain later on).
Every Super Skill takes about 3 seconds to cast (can be canceled by pressing defense).

John[/color]

The main roll of John is to assist his allies in combat, but he can also help to create powerful combos.

Frog Spell

Resurrection

Protection

Other Changes:
The Mana for self healing and friend healing is not 200 instead of 350, also the healing gives 150 HP instead of 100.
John's friendly heal move stays longer in the arena.



Louis


The new Louis controls energy and electricity, which gives him the ability to regain mana and summon lightnings.

Force Shield

Quick Recovery

Mana Heal

Thunder

Thunder Storm

Other Changes:

Jan[/color]

Jan, like John, is a character that is meant to assist friends in combat, but her assisting powers are greater than John's, but she is less offensive than him.

Milk Summoning

Resurrection

Buff Angel (Shot)

Buff Angel (Standing)

Sanctuary



Freeze


Freeze can freeze his enemies for longer time and turn himself into a storm.

Ice Breath

Blizzard




Bonus




I will be happy to see 4 players try to play survival/stage in this mod, or 2 VS 2 and upload the recording.
I'm not a designer so I hope my amateur spriting isn't too ugly.

Hmm not bad, just that you should put more Characters and Backgrounds

Intriguing (makes me feel like coop Diablo again), though it remains to be seen if it is balanced. The spriting doesn't look bad at all, aside from not fitting in seamlessly alongside Marti's sprites. I really really think the super moves should not be cancelable. That's the way of things in LF2: there are really powerful moves that just take too damn long to prepare (we're talking 10 frames), so you daren't use them when the enemy is near. And super moves are just these kinds of moves taken to the extreme, right?: they're both more powerful and take longer to prepare.

Backgrounds isn't necessary for it.
About more characters, I want to see first if it's worth continuing (also maybe get some help if someone want to join this project).

They take more mana (some of them take HP as I mentioned), and longer time to cast.
If you cancel them you still lose the mana and HP.

As I said, this mod is suppose to be played with 3/4 players, because the skills support each other.
Example: it will be hard for you to resurrect someone without any help from a third player.

Hope a group of players will try it out together.

Ok, you've made 4 (?) supports, now you need tank and offensive heros, so the supports would support someone :D
I really like the idea and initiative :))

It's not really like that, all 4 characters got support moves, Jan is the most supportive I guess.
If you want to categorize the characters like that so it's: Jan and John are support, Louis is the tank (but also offensive), and freeze is a damage dealer.

Really awesome moves. Also i really like that reviving move of John. I have one question: Will there be new characters or maybe new skins for the old ones? I think that would make it much cooler. ;)

I'm not a designer and I don't think skins are necessary really..
About new characters, as I said, if people will like this mod and play it I'll think of making new characters.

one more tanky move for louis pls :)
like he gets additional shield, but he can move normally
