LF2 Strategy 1.0
This version is mainly meant to be played by 3 or 4 players (using the LF2 Lobby or other programs), Because of it's emphasize on cooperation between players and strategy.
The Characters:
There are only 4 modified characters right now, I still don’t know if I will continue this mod.
All characters remain with their old skills + new ones to the below characters.
Every one of the 4 characters got a Super Skill (I will explain later on).
Every Super Skill takes about 3 seconds to cast (can be canceled by pressing defense).

John[/color]
The main roll of John is to assist his allies in combat, but he can also help to create powerful combos.
Frog Spell
Effect: John turns the foe into a frog for a certain time. While the foe is in frog form he can not be hit, but of course can't do anything (except croaking).
The transformation time is based on the foe:
Followers group (Bandit, Hunter, Jack, Mark, Monk, regular Jan, Sorcerer, Knight, Justin): will stay in this form for 12 seconds.
Bat, LouisEX, Firzen, Julian and all random characters (this includes Jan in the new version): will stay in this form for 6 seconds.
Strategy: This skill can help to stall foes in survival so you will have time to kill the boss without being bothered. Or you can use it to create a powerful combo.
Controls: Grab + DJA
Mana: 50
Resurrection
Effect: this is John's Super Skill, it resurrect a dead player.
Strategy: as I said every Super Skill takes about 3 seconds to cast, therefore John needs to be protected while casting it (can use his shields for that, Louis can also help with his new force shield skill).
It works only on random characters (this includes the new Jan). Also works on enemy randoms.
Controls: DvA
Mana: 350
Protection
Effect: John surrounds himself with an energy shield, protecting him from all projectiles of foes (except from wind attacks).
The shield last for about 17 seconds.
John's healing skills will not affect him while having the shield on.
Controls: DJA
Mana: 200
Credit to LFE for this move
Other Changes:
The Mana for self healing and friend healing is not 200 instead of 350, also the healing gives 150 HP instead of 100.
John's friendly heal move stays longer in the arena.
Louis
The new Louis controls energy and electricity, which gives him the ability to regain mana and summon lightnings.
Force Shield
Effect: Louis protects himself inside a bubble and becomes immune to any attack (except wind attacks).

Louis can also use his wind move inside the bubble.

Can also be used while being hit (like Davis's Dragon Punch).
The bubble doesn’t do damage. Can be canceled by pressing J.
Strategy: Louis can protect his partners with this move so they can use Super Skills that takes a lot of time to cast.
Allies that will stand inside the bubble will still be vulnerable to certain moves (like flute).

Mana: 50 and continues to drain mana
Quick Recovery
Effect: Louis jumps instantly from the floor.
Strategy: can be used if a friend needs helps fast.
Controls: DvA (while on the floor)
Mana: 0
Mana Heal
Effect: Louis gains mana. Louis is completely vulnerable while casting it.
Controls: DJA (yes, this means he can't transform).
Mana: 0

Thunder
Effect: does 50 damage, also breaks defense.
Controls: D^A
Mana: 150
Thunder Storm
Effect: This is Louis Super Skill.
Strategy: This move can be mixed with Freeze's ice ball. While Louis charging the move he can absorb an ice ball which will make him cast ice meteor storm. Each meteor deals 65 damage and got freezing effect.
Controls: DvA
Mana: 500 and 50 HP
Other Changes:
While Louis using his wind move he is in a defense state (similar to Firzen's explosion).

Jan[/color]
Jan, like John, is a character that is meant to assist friends in combat, but her assisting powers are greater than John's, but she is less offensive than him.
Milk Summoning
Effect: Summons a bottle of milk. This bottle got a double amount of milk in it.

Resurrection
Effect: This is Jan's Super Skill. It works like John's Resurrection.
Controls: DvA
Mana: 350
Buff Angel (Shot)
Effect: Jan shots an angel that affects characters that are charging their Super Skill, and making the casting time reduced by half.

Here Jan uses the angel on Louis Super Skill and grabs the foe, there is enough time for it to hit now.

Another strategy is to bounce back the angel to Jan herself so she can quickly resurrect.
Character can only absorb 1 angel while charging.
Controls: D>J
Mana: 100
Buff Angel (Standing)
Effect: Similar to the previous move, only this one stays in it's place for a while.
While Jan can absorb the previous angel, she can't absorb this one (so it will be balanced).
This move can also be cast down/up in a straight line.
Controls: DJA
Mana: 200
Sanctuary
Effect: This move causes every random character that is in Dance of Pain, frozen or frog form to immediately teleport to Jan. In frozen state and frog state the duration of them will be very short (for example if a frozen character got teleported to Jan it will almost immediately break out of the ice).
Jan needs to face towards the character for this move to work.
Strategy: The goal of this move is to save friends that are in trouble.
But it can also be used to perform different combos:
Controls: D>A
Mana: 50 and continues to drain.
Freeze
Freeze can freeze his enemies for longer time and turn himself into a storm.
Ice Breath
Effect: Freeze uses ice breath to freeze the foe for longer time.
This move affects only on foes that are in Dance of Pain state, it doesn't do damage.
The freezing time depends on the foe (similar to John's frog spell):
Followers group (Bandit, Hunter, Jack, Mark, Monk, regular Jan, Sorcerer, Knight, Justin): will stay in this form for 15 seconds.
Bat, LouisEX, Firzen, Julian and all random characters (this includes Jan in the new version): will stay in this form for 6 seconds.
Strategy: Like John's frog spell, this move can help stalling or creating powerful combos.
Careful, this move will freeze allies also.

Mana: 50
Blizzard
Effect: This is Freeze's Super Skill. While in storm form freeze freezes everything he touches and he is immune to all attacks.
Can move with the arrows up and down, and with the J button you can switch sides.

Bonus
Fake Death
Effect: Rudolf lies on the floor pretending to be dead, enemies will stop attacking him.
Rudolf can still be hit while using it. the move last for about 6 seconds. Can be stopped by pressing D.
Strategy: Rudolf can use this move to keep enemies away while he is waiting for a heal from Jan.
Controls: DvA
Mana: 100
I will be happy to see 4 players try to play survival/stage in this mod, or 2 VS 2 and upload the recording.
I'm not a designer so I hope my amateur spriting isn't too ugly.

Well, if you do continue this mod, I wish you luck on it.

Hmm not bad, just that you should put more Characters and Backgrounds

NOTE:
CHEATS: HEROFIGHTER.COM, LF2.NET cheat 1 "HEROFIGHTER.COM": This cheat lets you do the function keys in the story mode, or battle mode. Cheat 2 "LF2.NET": Lets you choose all the characters from the story, HAPPY CHEAT

Intriguing (makes me feel like coop Diablo again), though it remains to be seen if it is balanced. The spriting doesn't look bad at all, aside from not fitting in seamlessly alongside Marti's sprites. I really really think the super moves should not be cancelable. That's the way of things in LF2: there are really powerful moves that just take too damn long to prepare (we're talking 10 frames), so you daren't use them when the enemy is near. And super moves are just these kinds of moves taken to the extreme, right?: they're both more powerful and take longer to prepare.

Backgrounds isn't necessary for it.
About more characters, I want to see first if it's worth continuing (also maybe get some help if someone want to join this project).

They take more mana (some of them take HP as I mentioned), and longer time to cast.
If you cancel them you still lose the mana and HP.
As I said, this mod is suppose to be played with 3/4 players, because the skills support each other.
Example: it will be hard for you to resurrect someone without any help from a third player.
Hope a group of players will try it out together.

Ok, you've made 4 (?) supports, now you need tank and offensive heros, so the supports would support someone

I really like the idea and initiative ) It's not really like that, all 4 characters got support moves, Jan is the most supportive I guess.
If you want to categorize the characters like that so it's: Jan and John are support, Louis is the tank (but also offensive), and freeze is a damage dealer.

Really awesome moves. Also i really like that reviving move of John. I have one question: Will there be new characters or maybe new skins for the old ones? I think that would make it much cooler.

About new characters, as I said, if people will like this mod and play it I'll think of making new characters.
