Had a rought idea this morning for this: It's the easiest to realise this for balls, but it will also work for other stuff:

The ball fly around with an itr/kind 0 with the bdefend and how strong you want to have it. Maybe fall shouldnt be that high, because if the char fall then the images for the effect may look strange...

When the ball hits a person (should be frame 20 if I'm right), it activate a type0 for one TU, this type0 object have a bdy at y: 5000 and disappear after one or two TU.
In the injured frames of the char you noted a itr/kind 8 with a dvx which leads to the effect frames. So if the char couldn't block the attack and is injured the effect will come.

There might be placing-errors, so the type0 object may have a small itr/kind 8 with dvx-> go to effect-activate frame and next: 1000, if there's a char (and not a heavy weapon) the effect-activate frame with the bdy is activated.

Hmmmm, I've also an idea in mind... (I love to finish sentences with ... smilie)

Create your effect in every character at the same place (ie. 350) and let the ball have an itr (kind: 3) that makes the character going to the written frame. OK, this is only useful for complete mods smilie

And there are some more disadvantages...
I know them all, I'm simply too lazy to write them down...


Let's see, I'll probably aquire MH's method *complimentsmilie* for my strange ideas if I have some...

Well, to be serious there's not much difference between out ideas - I use itr/kind 8 to go to the effect frame, you use itr/kind 3. I just never liked the itr/kind 3 because catching always brings trouhle with the playing of the char smilie

The onely problem I've found out yet, it that it looks really weird, if your character doesn't react on catching (whether with the no-catching-thingy on the mainsite or by deleting the picked_caught-frames).

The advantage:
kind: 3 works on all types smilie

what do u mean works on all types? It can be used to bring type 0 to X frame and itself to another frame, but i'm sure it doesn't react on any other types.

Anyways, does anyone have a list of what can make objects go to specified frames? (exclude injured/hitting/hit/rebound/fall etc. frames). just itr kind 8 and kind 3. I'm wondering how u can make wpoint useful coz u can make it have wact: which controls the frame that the char is on, but that may be different.
