Audio Size Reduction *Best Method to date*
#1
[]

Hello Everyone, though I should of posted this during LF2 2.0's release...alot things happened and i forgotten about it.

So technically, My old WAV method wasn't the best solution to my size issue.
(even with the 15000 Sample Rate adjustion.)
My BGM size came up to 693MB in size. That's only all the 88 Boss Themes in my mod... Stage musics werent even considered then. So I observed Marti's BGM files and noticed an incredibly small Audio size even though all songs are 2 mins long! (2 mins would of been about 5 MB each, yet his files were only 1MB each.) Normal WMA files are just a few MBs smaller than a MP3, But his files were extremely small.
the difference was that he used 64kbps rate of the music and without the sound quality decreasing at all.
My WAV method did affect the sound quality, but Marti's did not.

Using an Audio Converter, I set all my themes to WMA format and kbps: 64 rate.

RESULTS OF 88 THEMES
693 MB
V
78.9 MB

That's a huge size difference there and sound quality is perfect! Here's an example using the long songs i have in my mod.
Nirvana Neron's Theme: Cosmos from DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY (6:09 mins)
14MB----> 3.03MB

you must have an Audio/Video converter to do it.
Hope this helps out some of you fellow members. ;)

wow, even if i dont have a clue about getting music working on lf2 v2.0, i still want to say that 693mb => 78.9mb is a huge difference. kinda reminds of the size difference between 256 bmp compared to 24 bmp.
~its been a long time coming~
