Earthquake Effect Tutorial
#1
Hello it's me again. In this tutorial i'll teach you how to create an earthquake effect in LF2. Grounds shake when you use it.

Principle: Have you ever noticed the camera follows a player? The camera moves in the direction the player is facing. This can turned into an Earth quake effect

You can understand this with an example of monk

When monk face this direction camera moves the way he looks

Now he face back and camera moves back too. When used repeatedly and quickly this method can create an earthquake shaking effect.

Step 1) Imagine the first pic is 29 and 2nd is 38

look at this data
Here you can see i used next: -xxx to make turning pics look normal.

Step2) select an earthquake effect pic for a char.

Step3) Flip the pic horizontal and add it along the original.

Step3) Add next: -xxx when before the fliped pic at the normal pic.

Result: You get an earthquake like shaking effect

If you don't get it use this study example of monk replace the dat with this and use DJA

EDIT: Sorry try now
Try now and plz rate the tut

Just by reading, I reckon it won't work on small stages which just need one screen? (HK Coliseum for instance.)
And on the edge of the stage, of course.

AND if you play with multiple players...

So it is a VERY buggy method to make the screen "shaking" (earthquake shake should be updown, not leftright, btw...)

actually itll work with multiple players aswell - and ive somewhen done this myself with a testing rock character, wasn too fond of gameplay/graphics and the way the earthquake was just cheap tho ...

and i think sideway shaking looks just as good

Up to now, ALL "quake effects" i have seen were up/down (some were left/right, ADDITIONAL, but ALWAYS up/down)...
