A man who is last survivor of his race, known as the Time Lords. They are people who have amazing knowledge of everything, and are made to observe the universe. The first man who set foot of his planet Gailifray was known as The Doctor, he decided to himself why should the Time Lords just watch the world when there are so many interesting things out in the universe, so he set to explore it.
There was a war which broke out between the Time Lords and the Darleks, Everyone seemed to die in the battle, time lords and darleks. The Doctor managed to escape by stealing his people time machine. 'The Police Blue Box'
He escaped before the planet was destroyed. He could travel back in time, and decided that he should stop the war from ever happening, since he had lost all his kind and was the only species left of his kind. Later he discovered that the war between the time lords and the Darleks was Time Locked so they he couldn't do anything. So he decided to just go around exploring worlds, saving people from things. He only saved people from little things.
e.g a person is about to get killed any no one would ever find out = Him stopping it.
e.g The world war 1 & 2. He should no interfere with it, since it would change the entire course of history.
There was a prophecy which said The Doctor would die were there was 4 knocking sounds. When he arrived at Earth he had discovered that there was another survive from his race who called himself The Master. They had before recently encountered each other and The Master had been shot. He was dying in the doctors hands, when the doctor told him to regenerate he refused, and told the The Doctor that he does not what to be trapped with The Doctor in the TARDIS.
Later on a group of followers of The Master brought him back to life by sacrifice there own lives. When he returned he was telling The Doctor that the noise in his head was louder then before. The Banging. It was a nice beat of 4 beats. The Doctor told him that he couldn't hear it and The Master was just insane.
Then The Master pushed his head against the Doctors and placed his fingers on The Doctors head and told him to listen. The Doctor had heard the sound and was scared that it was real. Later on the race Gailifray are still alive and can see Earth but cannot communicate in anyway. Then they discover The Master has a the 4 beating drumming in his head. They Leader of Gailifray realise and says the Heart Beat of a Time Lord. The Time lords have 2 hearts. Then they can't communicate with the Master, but they are allowed to send something small to earth. They leader of Gailifray leader then takes off a Diamond from his staff then throws it into a hologram of Earth, then a something heads towards Earth then crashes. Then The Master discoveries it then realizes that it is from Gailifray, and this Diamond can only be found there.
The Master then finds a way to Connect Earth and everything locked in the time lock too earth. They Time Lords return, and The Doctor comes crashing through the roof with a gun, and The Master realizes that the planet Gailifray starts to return near Earth and is happy with joy, when The Doctor explains that by the Time Lords coming back, they are going to bring back the Darleks and all the other dangerous races. The Doctor also explains that The Master wasn't there at the end of the war, the Time Lords wanted to destroy the universe and turn themselves into a spiritual force that would last forever, and The Doctor had stopped them before and escaped.
Desperate to end this The Doctor realises that the connection is The Master and The Leader of Gailifray, confused he starts pointing the gun at The Master and the Leader of Gailifray.( The Doctor is a man who hates using guns, and hates killing people from his past experience in the war)He then shoots the machine behind The Master and stops the connection between The Master and the Time Lock. Then the leader of Gailifray tells The Doctor that he will die here. The Doctor then turns and tells him, I know the prophecy said i would die so i am prepared.
Then The Master then realizes the reason he has always had the 4 banging in his head was because of the Time Lords, using him to come back to Earth. In his anger, he sacrifices himself to save The Doctor, and not let the Time Lords have there way, he Starts shooting Lighting at the Leader of Gailifray, preventing him from killing The Doctor they then disappear back into the Time Lock.
To The Doctor surprise he is still alive, and is so happy and celebrating, till he hears 4 knocks. He then turns to the side then realises that a friend of a women he knowns is locked in a Nuclear Reactor, which the only way to get him out is to go in himself and click the button to get him out, then locking the Doctor in. Since the Nuclear Reactor had been left on too long, the Radiation will kill the Doctor. He then starts crying & complaining that he doesn't want to regenerate. The man then says but i thought when you regenerate you come back to life. He then tells the man that when he Regenerate, he changes looks personality and everything, except memorys, meaning another man comes not him.
