the face looks like it's bulged out along with the eyes
eyes need to be closer and legs need to be closer, cuz it looks awkward...
Paint is still no excuse, cuz in th begining i used paint like 99.9% of the time
now i just use gimp 99.9% of the time ;)
don't worry u get better...

If you look at an LF2 sprite, you will see that all their facial features, except the eyes, are very small. And the eyes aren't outlined.
When you make hair, use a point at the back of the head to see in which direction the hair should be. Since my English is too lacking for me to explain in detail what you should do, I made a picture instead :D

As you can see, the general direction of the hair is determined by the green point but you can add swirl as you wish at the end of the hairstrands.

Two last things, the head is too broad, and there are no ears! :D

Why the paint hating? It's a great program to learn the spriting basics with.

dude no matter what every one says just keep practicing even if you are using paint eventually when you notice some progress in your works you will naturally start using an advanced prog like gimp.

and the first example for that is me...or you can pic luthicris,
remember LC first time you came here you were as nubish as he is now so dont treat him like hes no good.
oh and me look at this first time i came here my first sprite:

suckish paint sprites ^^
and after some time and practicing and tut amd tips and all that...

see the difference. thats what you will achieve if you keep practicing.
