Broken_weapon question
#1
Okey:
I make a new weapon
i want that when it gets destroyed, there will appear those ´broken parts´ like all weapons have. But, i have tested some other lf versions and there has been firen´s firesword etc. but when i press F9 they just disappear?
So: is it even possible to add anything to broken_weapon, or are other versions makers so lazy(/they don´t know how) that they don´t make them?
Hope this is understandable >_<
Might be back, might be not :^) anyways awesome to see you guys again!

Let's say you're doing this whole thing with that fire-sword, okay?

So, the sword is actually holding another object. When the sword reaches 0hp, it gets deleted, but the object it held is still there.
And the object can be animated to simulate a breaking animation, and whatever.
That's the whole thing behind it.

I'm sure there's a longer explanation about this, but I can't be bothered to search for it.
If you go on without searching it will be a nice... exercise for you, haha. ;D

I know that there is that possibility to make explosion or animate smthing, but they don´t work when pressing F9? Maybe i´m just talking sh*t, why i want that work with F9? Maybe i don´t need that work in F9, it still works in stage and so on, but i still ask, is it even possible at all to get that to broken_wep.dat or is there any other way to get it work with F9?

Not sure about that.
Instead of the held object being a weapon, try to make it a ball-object or something that doesn't get deleted by F9.
You can mess around with next: in the on-hand frames.

I don't know.

Okey, thanks anyway for your help. It´s just little wierd that almost everything is changeable in lf, but this isn´t?
