how to make a character delete itself

In this case, I want to make template delete itself during verses mode, so i can watch 2 ai opponents go at it.

i tried this and template still wont delete itself. its been awhile since ive played this game, so im a little rusty... never was real good at data changing, but i understood some of the basics...

a few years back when i was playing this game i downloaded a template character that would do just that... but now i have not been able to find the download anywhere.

btw im using lf2 v2.0

please help and thanks


p.s. also is there a way i can unlock all characters using the data.txt
with out having to type lf2.net on the game loading screen all the time? I want Julian and Firzen to keep their original IDs and still use them in verses, and also is it possible to unlock them in demo mode with out changing their ids?

try next: 1000 in the jump/crouch frames, should delete him as he spawns.

then use Ultimate patcher program to do this.Its pretty easy,(just tick the option of unlocking all characters).

THIS WORKS ONLY FOR VERSION 1.9 AND 1.9c !


An example mod which have all chars unlocked is LF2 2.5 (which is another 1.9 version)

also I would use version 1.9c, but everything either moves forward towards the right of the screen or backwards towards the left...

Ok I installed 2.0a into a different folder. Everything works now. Thanks.

um,i suggest you create a move that has state 80xx and put that id that of a type: 3 / type: 5 in the data file so it will not be recognised,or,you change the character of self destruct's type from 0 to something ridiculous like type: 1,2,3,4,5 or something.hope it helped :D

you could do this
first of all you have to make a move that hurts the char you want to del with damage of 500+(not sure how they do it can someone else explain it )
then in 0 standing next frame put the attack's frame so when it enters the game the moves frame actives and kills the char

There is something wrong with what you doin.
Next:1000 in jumping frames works. At least next: 1000 in standing frames should work! So simple!

ok i go another idea:
just put mp:99000 tag in the standing frames and walking it will take a few seconds to kill it
