I dont know this version, but I remeber one where the sprite, the bg and the data-folder where simply hide before zipped

they're using a "container" type of thing. I don't know any prog to make one but I know it can be done.

I assume that NTSD has been packed together with a so called "Molebox" program. Keeps the files where they are, prevents unauthorized copying of some files, and prevents modding. As far as I know, the molebox program isn't for free but you might be able to download a trial version to see how it works. Google should give you some good results when you search for "molebox"

yepp it's true they use the 'molebox' program. it integrates the files into a single exe, so the exe will load the files from within. and it's not free
As I know, this is a program called "VMWare ThinApp" (formerly known as "Thinstall") can intergrate all data in to one single file (this program is usually used to make "portable" program). Download trial version here: http://www.thinstall.com/. You can try to use that program. But I have never been successful in making LF2 "portable" by this program. And, this program is not free, too
