Ok another wiered Post of Mine!!. The Topic here is that Which tool help u the most in Spriting. U must mention the programme and the name of the tool why not if u wish u can Paste the pic of that tool.And Say how it helps.And also say how u came to know abt that tool...

Photoshop: Lasso Tool (cool Huh). Mostly Polygano Lasso tool help me Wid every thing like drawing hairs legs etcetra.I came to know wen i went to the tutorial Classes Lol that wiered first my tutor forgot to teach me abt that section of tools!!

So wats ur story?

You need more of them for effects. But you dont need much for spriting.

Why is everybody using PhotoShop?
It sucks in my opinion.

Paint, PhotoFiltre, Genetica, GIMP and Paint.net FTE!

In GIMP I use:
Darken
Blur
Pencil
Tool that picks a selection by color(s)
Box selection
I think that's all :P

And why people use Photo Shop? It sucks is expensive and hard to use.
I use Photofiltre:
Brush tool (sometimes 1 pixel, sometimes 2)
Blur with precise and opacity: 10
Line tool for making grids for example
Selection tool (I used polygon for char selection, rectangular for frames, and lasso for effects)
Replace color by range (better than "hue variation")
Magic wand tool xD
Photofiltre is da best!
