theory team-chasing
#1
i made up a theory how to produce a team-chasing object without the usage of jan's angels.

first, we join the enemy's team using the "join the evil" method. after doing this, we spawn some chasing balls and change back to our team.
now the balls shouldn't hurt you (since they are yours), but still chase you.

problem:
if you have a teammate he will probably get hit by the balls.

any comments are welcome :D

My theory: Your one won't work...

Chase objects choose targets in the moment of creation. Only if the designed target gets DELETED (state:14 doesn't work only) they will choose new targets.
So, the object will chase your closest teammate, but most likely not yourself (besides your teammate gets killed (by the chasing balls? lol)).

Dunno about whether they can hit your team or only the enemys... But i would guess the spawned ball stays enemy team so it will affect you and your team...
My Creations: (Click to View)

Return (String) System.getNewsOfTheDay();
Barely active, expect slow responses. If at all.

If I recall properly, this method is the crazy one with the weapons and stuff, right? Or is it simply the "join" tag in stage mode? (if so, then it would only work in Stage Mode :D)

If it's the weapon method, you'd need to spawn a weapon (that spawns "character" that would pick up your entire team...

Actually even then, your team would only be on a "third" team (of the weapon), and so the balls you summon after you switch back would be able to chase both teams (enemy and yours).

Oh, and the only way this would work is if there only exists two teams to begin with :D.

Even without flaws mentioned by 1477 and Alblaka, I think that it is easier and less buggy modifying the angels than screwing around with "Join the Evil" method.
I mean, even using it once isn't easy, let alone doing it TWICE.

still screwing with jans angels....i dunno what is the problem but in my white sorcerer called summoner. when jan uses the normal heal angels, if the ally keeps running away and doesnt get healed, the heal angels transforms into the summoners pet i made excpet it follows i forgot who and is the wrong sprite...i dunno whats wrong...

EDIT: bah...off topic...but heck, i think modifying jans angel is much easier. but im sure getting hit by the balls is workable around, just make do with what you have and throw ideas in to how you make it......shouldnt be that hard....................................

What about spawning an enemy char( as far as I understood 1477 that would work with the catching method as the char just has to be on a different team) and making it stick to you via itr/k: 8? The chase would follow that one aka you and still would be on your team, wouldn't it?
