Compressing sprite

Does anyone know how the sprite of lf2 2.0 was compressed? I tried some image compressing program but it won't work well with the exe file
Why compressing? Because i don't want to spend too much RAM on the game xD

Try Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2007 or 2010. It works perfectly. You meant space of Harddisk. Sprites dont eat up but if you use the png dll thing then it is gonna be a RAM hog.
