I'm trying to make an attack where the character uses 3 kicks and than goes to a grabbing frame that uses kind: 3 (which immediately grabs the opponent)
The grabbing works on a standing character, but it doesn't work on a character that is in the hurting frames because of the kicks.
Is there any solution to this problem?

Use less fall: points in the kicking frames? I recommend 20 so that he does not fall down.

Thats because "lying frames have no bdy most probably.
Edit:
Sorry, I meant the injured frames and not the lying frames.

Your arest/vrest is too high. Reduce the value of the last kick, then the move should work, unless you bugged something else, as well XD
@question itself:
You can catch anything with a body which isn't in a special non-catchable state. Thus, catching an opponent who got hit is perfectly fine. Punch somebody with louis and perform his D^J, you'll see it works.
