There were no mods, you can verify the records by downloading and playing back the recordings I attached in my first post, but I will explain here too how things work.
Friendly fire:
1. By default (without mods) you can hit allies that are being grabbed (as I was grabbing Firzen/Julian for example).
2. You can also hit frozen allies (which allows Firzen to hit the other Firzen with his cannon).
3. Heavy weapons will switch teams but not deflected when hit by Dennis' strafe kick (DvA) until the last hit when it will be deflected, and that's how the stone LouisEX threw could hit Firzen and even himself.
Julian Armor:
You can break Julian's armor with 2 weak attacks (such as punches) but also with only 1 strong attacks (like dash attacks, except for Jack, which is why he sucks against Julian
). As you can see in Template VS 2 Julian right after I killed the first Julian, I scored a jump attack followed closely by a punch, but Julian's armor could still block the punch, because Template's jump attack is a weak attack. (weak and strong here I think is based on broken defense, but it clearly is not based on damage)
Of course, no one can say luck was not a determining factor. In fact, these records depend so much on luck
. But still amazing for me.
Against Firzen, one important thing is to move in a way so that you can lure the chasing projectiles out of your escaping path. Doing it well often allows you to hit one of them while avoiding. One Firzen lying on the ground is very helpful since he can't spam projectiles for aw hile
.
Another thing is to avoid explosions. Sometimes you don't have time to run far away from him, but you can still be saved if you stand between the middle and the top/bottom icicles. This even often gives you a chance to score a dash attack right after the explosion, and by doing so you will at the same time avoid the chase balls from hitting you, which is amazing
(taking a chance from Firzen's strongest move, cool isn't it? xD and this works very often when positioned well)
Sometimes, deliberately hitting ground fire can be a life-saver when you can't draw a good escaping path since ground fire only deals 15 (if not 20.. i forgot) damage (while you burning them with your body deals 30 damage, funny!).
Another exciting thing is that by standing right in front of Firzen, there is a good chance of luring him to use his cannon, which is very helpful since it is much easier to dodge
. Same trick for Bat lol. But this doesn't succeed all the time either.
