They are all the alternatives that I consider when playing against Firzen.
Below is the guide, but I explain them all in the video which I think would be more interesting.
Chase Balls
According to your position, you have to do it a bit differently to avoid chase balls.
From the corners, you can just dash around (like shown in the early part in the video) and nothing will actually hit you.
If you are on the left/right of Firzen, simply go upwards to lure the projectiles and then move downwards quickly. The projectiles will have gained velocity upwards and thus need time to go back to the bottom.
Explosion
Against explosion, it's best if you can cancel it with a dash attack.
If you can't, the second alternative is to simply run away. Run upwards to lure the chase balls upwards, and then dash downwards to dodge them (or run downwards and dash upwards).
If you don't have the time to get away, try to stand on top/bottom of Firzen so the icicles will not hit you. You can use zig-zag movement to confuse the chase balls into getting too far from you.
If you cannot go to top/bottom, try to stand between the icicles. Be aware of the chase balls though. You may need to do rowing to simultaneously dodge the chase balls and passing through the icicle without getting hit.
*Because you can dodge chase balls by chasing, you can often score dash attacks to Firzen while having to dodge his chase balls. Even sometimes right after an explosion you can score a dash attack.
Firzen Cannon
It may worth standing in front of him to prevent him from doing the other deadlier moves ^^ , but you have to be ready to dodge his cannon if you're doing this (though they will still do other moves sometimes).
