Gridlines for sprites

Does anyone know how to put gridlines for sprites on photoshop or some other spriting software you guys know? I want green gridlines like the one on the template bmp file for LF2.

most of the characters use the standard 79x79 so making an outline that's 80x80 won't be seen on screen

As well, draw a few black lines all across the grid-sheet before starting to work. Makes it easier to remove all the black-background with a simple filling tool click, instead of either using a global wand OR removing the background from each single square.
