[solved] something that only be used on certain backgrounds

I have created some characters that use something similar to the NTSD clash system (and ofc we all know what this is!); it's just more complicated and longer. These characters hit each other up/down as soon as they clash. I have made a special effect: they spawn a background-image which covers them and make it look like they're going up into the sky. This is working perfectly.
When the characters are about to hit others back down, I give them the choice of just hitting the others normally or doing a special move. This is working perfectly, too.
Problem: when the opponent gets hit down, the screen is turning white. When the opponent is being hit down by a special attack the background changes, too. However, I want it to happen on certain backgrounds only. So, is it possible to give the background file an itr/k: 8 because I want it to react with a bdy.

No. No frame elements in BG-files. Use >BG-dependent actions< to create something similar to the effect you require. And, as MH already said, punctuation is something awesome.

anyways, i didnt know this could be created.
there are so many things in lf2 that hasnt been discovered.

It's possible.
I can't explain in full detail how it works, but do you know the background that drops Meteors? Use that technique and make it spawn ik8 balls that use Azriels Power-Up method.

Someone else take it from here, I can't be bothered to write it all out.

He won't and i can't, but he gave you the hint to look up Azriel'S PowerUp-method. You should search it, i'm sure it's somewhere in forum or mainsite...
