Actually it should work. Don't have to change anything.

EDIT: Sorry, I misunderstood something...

remove itr's in the on_hand frames?
but then again, that might make the baseball basically useless
or is that what you want?
OR
you could remove/change the bdy's in the baseball frames, on_ground (i think)
you may need to experiment
hope that helped:p

Removing the itr's in the on_hand-frames of the bat makes it completely useless, indeed. You wouldn't be able to hit anything at all. Therefore, I recommend removing the bdy's out of the throwing-frames form the baseball. Of course, then, no attack would be able to stop the baseball until it breaks, but you also can't hit the baseball with the bat ;)

just coz there is a way to make this work,

either way you'd have to edit all data files with all itrs/bdys (whichever u choose), which is pretty silly.

bdys:
edit the bat to have an itr 2000 pixels underneath its current one, and no itr at the normal level.
edit all frames with bdys to have another set of bdys (clone) but 2000 pixels underground.

itrs:
edit the ball to have a bdy 2000 pixels underneath its current one, and no bdy at the normal level.
edit all frames with itrs to have another set of itrs (clone) but 2000 pixels underground.

pretty useless method but that's the only way i can think of now that works. (besides a crazy itr kind 8 method which is impractical)

wouldn't that make the bat hit only the baseball and nothing else?

when try to you hit the baseball with the scythe, it doesn't work right?
(or does it the same thing as with the bat?)
has it then something to do with the effect?
should i just change the effect in the on_hand from 0 to 1?

scythe hits ball, just normal hit effect (no baseball "smack" effect).

and my method is correct. I said either one of the two. method one is to duplicate all bdys (except in the ball), and let the bat hit the duplicated bdys.
method two is to duplicate all itrs (except in the bat), and let the ball only be hit by the duplicated itrs.

you're annoying me quite a lot already. I won't answer anymore past this post.
the smack effect is id specific. just change either the bat or the ball or both's ids to something else (within 100~199).

Just Try It.
