Nice tutorial! I make all my animations for this site in GIMP.
Also, if you want a transparent background for the animation, you can delete the background color for all the frames. Just be sure to turn on frame disposal when you save it as an animated gif, or each frame will appear in front of all the previous ones and the animation will look terrible. Just click save as gif. If it has multiple layers, it'll ask whether to merge the layers or save it as an animation. Click animation, obviously.

The tutorial is just short and sweet. It gives you all information you need in a minimum amount of paragraphs, and also utilizes a good use of images. I can't really think of anything negative.
CardFreak, upload it to an imagehost, copy the link of the image and edit in "[img]Image URL goes here[/img]" into your signature.
