Hey guys, I have a noob question here

there is a total of 5 falling backwards (as well as forward) falling sprites...and after that there is another falldown/lay-on-ground&hit sprite. for what is that one for?

When you fall from a higher height and land on the floor, notice how you bump up, then down again? That's the sprite (mostly it's just a copy of one of the other falling sprites, just lower down).

Next time, you could simply look at the number of the pic, and see what sprite it is in the sprite sheet

All you need is a data changer and the bitmap image
Mac doesn't support LF2? Aint that a shame.

falling sequence goes like this:
1 2 3 4 5 4 5

just as ramond pointe frame 4 and 5 quickly repeat to show the bump off the floor

the sequence of frames depends on the shape of the falling curve
usually that last one is a copy of the third frame - as everyone already said: for bouncing off the floor
most of the time the only thing that differs to the third frame is the hair/cape/arms - as they have to point towards the ground, not the sky

the bouncing is the 6th
