[solved] MP question & input question

I'm having 2 problems.


The first problem is something with the MP.
The dash attack keeps costing mana, even though I never gave it MP cost.
Also, it only uses MP when you use the dash attack IMMEDIATELY when you're in the dash.. so you don't wait, you immediately press attack, and then it takes about 50 mp somehow.

The other problem I'm having is with the D^J input.

Here's the situation:

Nino is using D^A.
When you press D>J while doing the move, he does the move just fine after finishing D^A.
But when you use D^J, nothing happens after he's done with D^A.

This is quite annoying because I wanted this for a combo.
What could possibly be the problem? Is this a hex problem perhaps?

your run attack or normal attack probably costs mp, the lf2 engine often messes up the mp-costs when you press 2 keys at the same time, you might want to try it with rudolf, press jump + attack at the same time, he'll do the jump attack though it'll cost him the mp's of his normal attack

2.
also the lf2 engines fault, you might want to try putting a hit_Uj at the last frame of that move or use different wait values or whatsoever, just experiment around until it works

1: Both problems solved. I used mp: 1 for the first frame of the run attack and made the other cost -8 mp, so it uses the mp while using the move and not on the beginning.
2: Put hit_Uj in the last frame. Strangely it works now, it didn't work before when I had it in the last frame + in a couple of other frames.

d^a is ground kick.I saw and there is not any hit_Fj: neither hit_Uj:

you need to put those in his last frame or in his last 2 frames.

I'm working on the data right now. I'm the only person that has the most recent version of Nino ;) It was probably not in the old one.

when u use a Firzen, Julian, Bat, Louis (ex) based data file and frames the dashing attack will always cost mana power a bit...

And for the d.up.j why dont u go to the last 3 frames of d.up.a and add to hit_a or hit_j the first frame number of the d.up.j move...
