Ok. Long time no dig.
I should have posted this some time ago, but somehow forgot about this. So, as I've mentioned somewhere, somewhen I was studying some typography, logo design and some graphics in general. Here's a peak of how I've been working with my personal logo. So there was many ways I've tried to go with. I've started with some abstract and regular logotypes, but in the end I've decided to go the easiest way. So my nickname "Gad" comes from polish language, as I live in and come from Poland. You may know what it means - "repitle". I've decided to come up with a snake drawing that could be read as letters "GAD". Here is my first try (Click to View) Second try (Click to View) Final shot (Click to View) Here you can see some more of my logo/logotypes tries: Gym Logo (Click to View) Software developer (Click to View) Photography (Click to View) Gaming team (Click to View) IT company (Click to View)

The only ones I'm not perfectly happy about are the Gorilla-logo and the aries-logo. For the former: the left side is vertical whereas the right one is slanted. The sudden change in letter angles around the "i" also makes it seem somewhat inconsistent. The second: are the different widths of the letters intended? I guess they are but I'm lacking the typographic concepts to pinpoint what exactly is off-putting about it. Probably also some sort of inconsistency (some letters are bold on top and thin on bottom and vice versa). I think that's all there is in terms of critique from my side. Insert a couple more praising phrases because the other designs really kick butt!

Thanks for the comment.
I need to agree with you. For Gorilla one, I think I've tried to work with that, but my tries were not successful. Yah, it could be fixed somehow. For the Aries IT logo - I pretty much based feeling on the existing font. Although it looks like it could use some adjusting. Especially vertical lines could be equalized, or changes somehow to give better feelings. I'm very happy you've pointed these out. Thanks.
Hello people,
After many years I've realized what's been wrong with my art skills for such a long time. Even though I was attending a lot of drawing classes I was never properly introducted to drawing fundamentals, and even though I knew how to draw stuff in perspective I never used this for anything else but architecture. For few last months I have been working on my drawing skills. Here's a bit of the process I was going through. Stuff I'll be posting here is basically a progress history for last year. I didn't have much time to train, so the progress is not as big as I would want it, but welp... First works shown below are still suffering from my lack of understanding of the form, but further on this changes. A lot of the study was on the paper, but i'm too lazy to scan it all, also most got trashed.
