Official Sprite Tournament

Winner of the Tournament =/= Best Spriter. In fact, there is no "Best Spriter".

In this case, Whaat and Bashscrazy definitly deserve the position of finalist, as they were the ones who sprited one entry for each phase and were selected as the best.
The fact that other spriters can do works of better quality doesn't have anything to do with this particular tournament. We either didn't want to participate, or lacked motivation (or time) to even send an entry for each phase. That's why we are not finalist, and it's fair.

Btw, sorry for not making it before the deadline, have been busy, and congrats to Bash and Whaat :p

Spriting tournaments are all about competition, will to win, having a great parade of sprites and having a brilliant fun time. I think, that Whaat won, because he REALLY wanted it and REALLY putted his best. I’m pretty sure he would’ve been much less of a contender among the not contending pros, but, in a tournament, not contending is just a premature form of losing. Complaints about the finalists of the tournament are really frustrating, because it was decided was by people vote, so it’s solid.

I had great deal of fun organizing the event. We’ll definitely do this again – without the face-pic challenge and with different themes for each fight, as per helpful Apoc’s suggestions. Also, thanks to Alec for filling me in.

Lastly, I think there should be an award trophy (or star) similar to Contest Awards in the winner's Info. The least the mods could do, but there’s no pressure.

Thanks to all who participated, again congrats to Whaat, kudos for being a finalist for Bash and see you next summer.

@Whaat you don't get an award or w/e on your profile because this isn't an actual official legit LFE contest that BP has made. (mainpage contests are what win you the awards)

@betit- you are very cocky my friend. Sure I suck at spriting - but you lost in the first round so suck it.
