How to record LF2 recording into video file?
#1
I am using Fraps and the result is laggy and slow motion.
The videos that I post in the YouTube is the best one after trying many times recording the same replay (I delete all the videos in which my computer lagged).
And it has only 25 FPS, although I have set fraps into 30 FPS, half size. Seems like my computer is not fast enough.

When I set Fraps into 10 FPS (which is the max stable FPS for HyCam on my computer) the game also drops to 10 FPS (slow motion) dammit.

I tried out HyperCam. I used FPS Changer and set to 10 FPS, then record it with HyperCam with 30 FPS output. But then I cannot record the sound because the recording FPS and the output FPS is different.

This is frustrating :( . I want to upload more videos for my LFT but it just sucks to have to spend fifteen minutes trying to record every single recording.

Is there any good solution?
I have directx 9c already. I'm using Windows 7, Intel HD Graphics 3000 (lol I don't even know what it means).
I think there's no chance I will be allowed to buy new hardwares like a better processor or something like that (and I don't understand such things)

I have tried these things so don't post it again :P :

I have never had a problem like that... Try using SnagIt, it may loose some quality, but FPS shall be enough.

I don't like Fraps, nor HyperCam.

I'm suggesting programs like:
• SnagIt - My Fav
• Camstudio
• XFire - This one is very good for recording games.

And if these don't work, then it's most probably just your computer...

As strange as it seems, I never saw anything good coming from Fraps, except the videos you already uploaded.

Using Hypercam will create this stupid "Created with Hypercam" in one corner of your video afaik, so this is no good solution too (or at least it would not be a good one for me because I don't like ads in my videos).

Basically you have to set Stereo Mix as Input Source and Mute microphone as Input Source, spoken in terms of Windows XP. But I know that Sound Configuration is very different in Windows 7. It seems that there is no Stereo Mix anymore, but Volume Bars for every running application instead. Dr.Death and I could not figure out how to record Sound in Windows 7, which only confirms what I always say about Windows 7, but that is another topic.

Shouldn't Windows 7 use Directx 10? I thought it was the reason why Crysis had more graphic settings in Windows 7 than it had on my Windows XP Computer. But still I don't think that is the reason for a bad video quality.

I guess it is either your Hardware or the bad recording tools like Fraps, which cause these issues.

I have a version of Camtasia, which records everything I want nicely, but then again I think my Computer is very powerful. I remember that I once used Camstudio (which was already suggested) on my old computer, which did the job for me just fine.
If all that fails, you could send the recording to me and I could record and convert it into avi/wmv/flv etc., but I cannot guaranty that I will have time ^^'.
The Name of your Video Card tells me, that it is an onBoard Chip, and this is the reason why you cannot expect too much of it.

onBoard Chip? xD .
I'll try XFire and Camtasia first :D (I have always thought they were the same... lol)
Thanks for the replies!

Well, fraps worked well on my friend's laptop, but I can't borrow it all the time xD
