Why moving a frame is so hard to do? [I only asking]

just one frame is easy - we all thought you still want to have full movement like rudolf does

so one single frame you say

search for next: 1280 in your rudolf.dat
in the frame that has it change this next to 999
change the wait to 280
change the pic to any you like
(pictures are counted from 0 onwards - left to right, top to bottom
61 for example will be a crouching frame i think, just pick the one where you have the new image)

movement usually requires a bit more
biggest problem is that perfect free movement is only available in one set of frames for each character (walking frames)
and you cannot create a duplicate of them

not to mention there are a lot more movement frames (basically the whole character) you are missing out now


edit: you can have really basic movement in that one frame with a long wait
you can make the character automatically move forward by changing dvx to lets say 2
and you can allow him to move up and down by changing dvz to 2 aswell
(or other values for different speed - negative ones for going backward)

reading his first post again, I think he just wants a simple transformation when executing the "disappearing move" from rudolf, however I suspect he doesn't want 2 char files. So just the sprites change instead.

I think that is what he wants and after reading all the following posts in which he tries to explain, I feel that I am on the right track.
