[PROBLEM]Kirby copy

well... i've already seen another guy, that asked the same question... me and a friend of mine have already done one SSB LF2 mod... but there is one problem... my kirby, he only push the enemy to his mouth and then he transforms into the character he pushs... (almost like rudolf transformig), and its not that what I want :(

so, i've been thinking, lets suppose kirby uses his "magic" and push link, so is there any special frame that link(kirby transformed) go when he uses this abillity? cuz it would be simple, I put a frame on link.dat that transforms to the link-kirby ID!

but...

is there this "special frame"

so...

i've been thinking another way... with opoints!
when kirby goes to the frame that has an state 500... he makes one opoint appears! but this opoint will be the same for every character... and... its not cool :confused:, unless I make a opoint which it would get link to go to a frame (the same for everyone, could be 397) and this 397 throws another opoint to transform kirby to be the kirby-link... but this method is REALLY difficult :confused:

so right now kirby transforms into his opponent ... instead of getting the usual hat

what i did on my kirby - is giving him a special weapon (hat) for every power enemy - thus only needing one kirby data (however this is rather complex)
the idea was that certain enemys drop that hat when they are inhaled/caught - if kirby presses A then he swallows/picks it up and hence gets the ability

now i suppose you already have(/want to) all different kirby forms as different characters and simply want him to auto transform from each copied enemy to the kirby version (if i understood that correctly: copying link and from there turning into kirby link)
quite smart - i never thought of doing it that way

and making kirby drop an object before the transform - which then (catches) makes him transform into the kirby version is the only way i can think of (which you already described)
the real problem with this is that any character might pass by and turn into his kirby version while the real kirby remains as the copy of the opponent he just inhaled
also if you dont cover the whole process with some effect you will see him in frame 0 of the character he copies

so this is not only difficult - it also wont look/work all that pretty

i want kirby to have diferent punch, diferent moves, alot of things different :confused:
your way sure is clever. but, this mod dont have weapons yet. it would bring us alot of trouble :D

and, i don't now... maybe

it could be this way: kirby could only grab the character, and than... create one special "picked_caught" frames for link (for example) and in this picked caught he throws an opoint with a itr kind 3 that has an caughtact that puts kirby to a frame with an state 8000+kirby-link's ID!

well, to much work yet, but, is there any error on the idea??


i`m planning to put kirby forms on version 1.2
i want every perfect :D
