Help fixing Rudolf's abusive stars
#11
Sounds like you can only make the abuse a lot harder this way then. It's something at least.

Can you confirm whether this problem occurs for both of these cases?
Shuriken object number is higher than the victim object number (usual case as objects get numbers from 50 onwards I think - your testing chars are probably below 16).
Shuriken object number is lower than victim object number (gotta bend the odds a little by creating lots of soon to be deleted objects and one dumb clone that will thus have a high number).

I suspect iterative frame updating through the 400 objects may be the culprit.

The id was higher than the characters by default, so I can confirm that case.
I was testing again with the weapon's id at 3 and it still happened.

It is indeed harder and I doubt even in lag someone is willing to factor the distance and timing needed to exploit this frame-wise. I might as well leave it in for now and tone down the shurikens since it is possible to do 100+ damage with so little MP.

I must say that every time I make a change my mind forgets the timing and I have to relearn it since I'm so bent on hoping to fix it. Psychology is pretty damn funny.

I am talking about the object number in game (0 through 399) - not the object id from the data.txt.

Oh. I just tried that using a frozen template and that doesn't work either. Maybe I tested wrong, but I followed what you said.

Well it was just a guess. Wouldn't have helped you other than pointing towards a horribly complicated hex problem.
