I think god is using reverse psychology here. The darkness seems like a too obvious place for danger, so god puts it there anyway.

Unless god is just rolling dice

But I still think we shouldn't head into the darkness because I'm scared.

but I'd go to dark way because there's probably a map hidden or somethin

In fact the "dark" way just means the path goes on straight for a while and your light isn't light enough to lighten up the whole passage. it's not a "special event" or something

waaihhtt.... if you look at the map, if we go straight now, and then turn left, we'll end in a corner of the map, that means there's probably secret stuff hidden or something, but if we take the dark path we'll just head straight torwards the exit...

and we do want to explore that cave, don't we?

but i actually think that it will lead to a second entrance of the cave. which means we will leave the cave then.

or could we stop and go back if we get outside? @random
