Super Smash Fighters, an LF2 Mod I'm working on (v0.1 RELEASED!)
#1
This is a Super Smash Bros modification for LF2 that I am working on. Um... not much else to say, just look at the previews and screenshots to see how the game looks. Currently, only people helping me are Nave (coding) and zxcv11791 (spriting)

v0.1 is released!

Before I release anything , I still need to do Kirby's copy ability (Nave's working on it), Kirby's Final Smash, another background, and fix bits that look dodgy or buggy (Link's Bomb for example)

Link sprites made by GregarLink10 and Kirby sprites made by DrSchnaps. Mario's sprites were done by me.

nevermind about what i said in my post before about how I can't work on the mod. The reason was because I thought that the laptop i'm allowed to use was too slow, but after downloading a new graphic driver, I can play LF2 at nearly full speed :D

The attack diversity looks really great, I hope you're gonna finish this ;)
Strange that this is the second SSB-mod that I see within one week... are we moving from a Naruto- to a SSB-era? =P

I had this thought long time ago

In overall, this game looks quite promising.

A few things I've noticed (also, depending on if you want to make it have a SSB feeling):

-The height difference between Mario and Link is a bit... disturbing... Mario's a bit too small... or Link to tall... I dunno
-Are you planning on doing charging sprites for the Final Smashes (especially Mario's)? Since it would look a bit weird if he just holds his hands forward and unleashes strong projectiles.
-Mario's fireball jumps quite high after touching the ground, it's a bit unusual.
-After Kirby's rock attack, you could try using state: 100 to prevent him going to the crouch frames.
-Mario jumps a bit... high... with the Coin Jump

Final Destination itself doesn't look too bad. Also, F.L.U.D.D. and Link's Triforce Slash look pretty good as well, but why does he pull his bow?

Err... well, yeah. As a fanatic of the SSB series I definitely want to see more progress on this.

Also, suggestions (again depending on whether having the SSB feeling or not):
-While lying:
#Char is able to be hit
#Press Attack to... agh, to do the same like what happens when you would play SSB and press Attack while lying
#Char can lie longer (a maximum should be set)
#Press Left or Right to roll into that specific direction
-Double and Multi Jump? (if that's not implemented yet)

Hmm. I don't know more :D

@Blue Phoenix
Lol, I've been working on this since the "Naruto Era" xD

@Don Giovanni
Yeah, Mario's sprites aren't done, I'm just a bit lazy :P. He's shorter than Link because... well he's shorter than link. Their height difference is actually pretty big in SSB. I like the height his fireballs are at, I decided that I wanted it to look more interesting ^_^. Kirby has already used state: 100 for Final Cutter. Mario's coin punch is still a bit dodgy :\.
Nave made Link's final smash so I dunno about the bow. It looks cool though, its like the light arrows in Ocarina of Time. Now that I think about it, it probably is.
Hmm if a character was hurt while lying on the floor, wouldnt it look weird because they would instantly be standing up again. I probably will add a getting up attack (lol dont know what to call it just like you). I don't think I can add rolling left or right when your on the ground. I will definately add a double jump, even though there is much use to it in LF2 xD

*Bump*

Argh I tried to sprite Hyrule Castle but I failed miserably, so I just got a screenshot from the real game and used that instead.
I present to you, Bridge of Eldin!!!

I know it doesnt fit in with the actual bridge, but now that I think about, my Final Destination has a detailed and sharp ground, but a kinda blurry background :P

hmmm, the background is kinda pixelated, erm.... do you have Photoshop? Then you could remove these edges.

Problem with these small-z-backgrounds is that the weapons are blocking the way....

yet, still, it looks good :D

I'm spriting Fox now. I've done most of his basics, but they aren't that exciting so I won't post them.
For his specials, I've done his gun, his reflector and his Firefox ability.
