i think same short or medium size hair is bit boring(it's my opinion),it's good to have more various size hair style on chars.
I like neocrypt nino,to me nino looks like some awesome martial arts fighter(or Nino fighting style is different).

I managed to do something for my character! Did some data changes and edited the slide:



Now he uses a weaker slide as run attack (50 mp) and a stronger slide as D>J (100 mp).
A normal kick can be performed after the run attack and 2 stronger kicks can be done after the power slide...

by the way, I found Phil's post pretty hilaric, and you're probably right x]

forgot to mention.. I still have to desaturate the red in the sprites

I think blue is the colour of his aura - like the original slide kick attack and his energy projectile attack.
Like how Goku has a white aura? normally? red for kaio-ken and yellow for super saiyan

anyways looks good - maybe add a black pixel transparency "filter" on it so it's see-through in game
unless it's not supposed to be transparentish?

It is indeed the color of his aura. And it's looking cool without transparency, I don't think it would make the move look any better, so I'll keep it this way.

+gave him a better DvA combo. The previous one was kinda annoying.

Yeah, was thinking about making him do a 1-2 second power up before the slide and increase the injury.
