Probably fixed location. I don't think it could be random...

Why to be fixed location?
It's more natural to see them in different locations and it dont make the view monotone.I personally think that trees are not in fixed locations.

as far as i can c it i think its more like the louis boost+johnball gives an increased armor boost or am i wrong?

Is it possible to roll into the healing-blob, perform the armor-boost (?) with Louis and still manage to get the power-up?
Because it seems like that team tag is way too rare to happen in a proper LF2 fight. (Does that sentence sound grammatically correct? PM ME YOUR OPINION!!!)
How much does that team tag boost Louis' armor? Twice the normal DJ move? Three times, four times, 5943927 times?

with the right timing it works
but usually they will get hit by louis' shock wave and the healing move is canceled

i am generally creating tag team moves for multiplayer
both moves have to be executed at the same time - it's best used for stage or battle mode
(this way louis cannot abuse an opponents healing blob)
