Data changer crash
#1
I made some data in Rammichael's data changer. Everything works in LF2, but I can no longer open the file in the data changer (thefor I can't copy the data from temporary.txt either...) What could be the cause of this, or what could be a solution?
- Opening in wordpad doesn't work
- neither does changing the name of the file
- Other files can be openend, just not this one

Try opening it with other data changers?

I recommend you follow xmfcx advice - and add this: in the data changer pack 3 (from mainsite) there`s a programm called decrypt - try this one, it`s the most essential data changer i know. :p

BTW - your antivir programm will warn you from a trojan in this file, that`s normal...

Think I should mention this at the mainsite :p

Beside this I can only hope you got a backup which is not to old, or maybe Silva can help out :D

you can always do this
just rename a used bitmap in this data into something else or move it away
load lf2
let it crash upon trying to load the bitmap
open temporary with the data that couldn't be fully loaded (because of the missing bitmap)

that's how i used to datachange when i only had the game itself - get the original files decrypted by the game - save them as txt and then also load them as txt

Thanks guys. Using a diffirent data changer worked. And I kinda forgot about the way temporary.txt worked, haven't used it for years :P Easy fix :)
